In 2004, the south sea port was opened in Azov. Now it is a large private transport and logistics centre in Russia, connecting Asia and Europe via rail and sea lines.

South sea port in 2020 is a universal port that focuses on the transhipment of various types of cargo that are in demand in the countries of export. The port has a high capacity to handle more than 1.5 million tons of cargo per year, as well as unload 40 wagons per day. The warehouse area is 70,000 m2 and can hold up to 60,000 tons. The port has 2 cargo berths, with a total length of up to 330 m, which are intended for loading cargo onto merchant ships. Simultaneously, the port can load and/or unload 2 river-sea-class vessels with a capacity of up to 5 thousand tons.

The seaport equipment fleet consists of equipment that is constantly updated, which reduces the time of cargo handling and reduces the risk of emergency situations. Also, the port has its own certified laboratory for quality control of agricultural products.

The port functions as a limited liability company «south sea port», which is managed by Ali Magaramovich Seyfullaev. The largest partners of the company at the moment are RIF, Aston, Globex International Group, Agrozerno yug llc, Vitum, etc.

The mission of the port from the day of opening is to improve the position of Russia as one of the world’s largest exporters and to constantly improve, outstripping the needs of customers.
