In 2017, South seaport llc implemented a project to improve the terminal’s transhipment capacity to 5,000 tons per day. As part of the development of the existing port, an additional wagon unloading line was built, and new warehouse automated equipment was installed.
In the process of modernizing the unloading line, we focused on the need to transship more than 1.5 million tons per year and increase the carrying capacity. This, among other reasons, contributed to an improvement in cargo turnover in the Rostov region, taking into account transit cargo in 2018, to 40.4 million tons, which is 26.6% more than the same period in 2017 (31.9 million tons).
